This is a transcription of a piece originally written for string orchestra. Both versions were created in 2009. Górecki, in a interview, said: For me, the title of a piece is not a play on words, as if often is for many contemporary composers. Whether programme music or not, the title must always be closely linked to the music. The ambiguity of the title and the meaning hidden within it reflect the impressionist-meditative character of the composition. On the harmonic level, the composer references the musical language of Henryk Mikołaj Górecki. The piece develops on a base of short motifs presented in several variations, against a background of bitonal harmonies, or, in a context of consonant chords. The composition was first performed on 3rd October 2010 in New York, by Cora Gordon (violin) and Miriam Brickman (piano).
