Tomera-Chmiel attended the rhythmics and piano class at the Frédéric Chopin Music School in Kraków (1991). She completed her studies in pedagogy at the Kraków Academy of Music (1996), and studies at the Carl Orff School in Warszawa [Warsaw], taught by Urszula Smoczyńska (2002). She gained her teaching experience in numerous pedagogical and methodological courses and workshops (Poznań 1998, Gdańsk 2000, Białystok 2001, Wrocław 2003, Warszawa 2004, Katowice 2005). Since 1996, Tomera-Chmiel has been a teacher of music theory at the I. J. Paderewski Music School in Kraków. She is the author of songs for children and co-author of textbooks in the series Nasza muzyka [Our Music] published by EUTERPE.
