PASIECZNY, Marek (*1980)

One of the most characteristic concert guitarists and guitar composers. He has won many guitar competitions, but is known above all for his compositions for the instrument. Marek Pasieczny was born on 14^th February 1980 in Zamość. He began to play the guitar at the age of 10. From 2000 to 2005, he was a student of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław – in the guitar class of Prof. Piotr Zaleski – from which he graduated with honours. In addition, he attended many master classes, with – among others – Carlo Marchione, Joaquín Clerch, Raphaella Smits, Edoardo Catemario, József Eötvös, Gary Ryan and Pavel Steidl.
